Veld 2013 - Rave outfits made by moi catches attention! yeay!

What I love about edm fests is that people really take time to express themselves in the outfits they wear. I enjoy the visual stimulation of different colors and different styles of clothing both on men and women alike. No one is weird. Everyone is entitled to wear what they want to wear regardless of their size and the clothing size. Good job.

Pretty girls in tutus and embellished bras
A guy (i think one of 4) who used medical purple dye to achieve this look. It did not run, it did not come off even with the heat and sweat.

Nice and relaxed environment....

Ooooh! There is one of mine!

fun crowd...too early still...later it will be packed.

oooohh another one of mine!

and another!!!

Amid the dense crowd, we were trying to find out way out to get more water. Suddenly, someone literally bolted out from nowhere and started shoving people in his way (me included) while he was yelling "Did i just see link?!?! F*** did i just see him?!?!" and then pulled my friend and checked out his shirt. Yeay!

Same thing for Dhalsim, he got lots of taps on the shoulder.

No score for Megaman.

Candy bra girl was asked to pose by lotsa girls coz they loved it.

I think im off to a good start! :)

Rave outfit - sweet sweet bandeau

After shirts, I decided to make a bandeau filled with sweet goodies for my good friend. It is literally a candy bra. :)

What I used:

1) neon pink lace bandeau
2) air dry clay
3) beads
4) sequins
5) notions

I made these miniature cakes, tarts, and pies from air dry clay

Good enough to eat?

My first attempt to make rave clothes - NEON Shirts

After attending so many festivals and other edm events, I have now a more or less clear picture of what outfits are suitable for such.

I have observed that the most prevalent theme in rave clothing are the following (in no particular order):

1. neon
2. crop tops
3. short shorts
4. singlets
5. characters from cartoons and video games
6. graphic statements
7. furry boots
8. tutus
9. tie dye elements
10. kandis
11. thematic costumes

...worn alone or in combination with each other...

Intoxicated with inspiration, I asked my friends what video characters they like the most. After that, I bought fabric paint (different kinds, not to be confused with fabric dyes), neon shirts, paint brushes, acrylic paint, acrylic medium, clothes pins, and cardboard.

Note: All these shirts were painstakingly hand-painted and of course, given away as gifts.

1) dhalsim vs blanka

2) Link
 3) Megaman

this one is cute coz it's a series of 6 megaman shots

with the special participation of our humble kitchen :)

Digital Dreams 2013

With Tiesto as the headliner, the event was packed and full of nationalism as it was also Canada Day.

Red and white in so many styles and forms. I can't think of any better event that mixes pride for the county, great music, and good vibes in excellent proportions.

Sensation: Ocean of White 2013

I have a special attachment to the sea because I am a scuba diver and before moving to Canada, weekends were always spent at some part of the sea scuba diving...

SENSATION: Ocean of White

That sounded to me like a combination of two things I love the most. Partying and the underwater world.

The path to the venue was circuitous, one concrete ramp after the other which built up the suspense even more.

Finally...after the last ramp...the space opens to a majestic scene of glowing Portuguese Man of War jellies suspended above with their tentacles cascading like luminous silk threads. White globes were scattered all over the place like deep sea pearls.

People surrounded the lighted set up at the middle as if it were a god and they, the followers.

Then..balls everywhere!

I am a sucker for lights and overall design of the stage and the entire area. I love a good production. Being an aesthete, I enjoy being visually stimulated. This has the best indoor set up Ive seen so far. It absolutely blew me away. And then you have artists like Fedde le Grande and Eric Prydz who took everything to a different level.

Here are some more insane snapshots of the whole show. Enjoy!

 Ocean of people

 Alien invasion.

LIGHT IT UP! :)
